Aromatherapy Level 2: Weekend Certification
This weekend is a blend of both practical and esoteric teachings designed to follow the knowledge acquired in the Level 1 Workshop. . We have recently added new content to the existing program carefully designed to give you the necessary tools and knowledge required to practice safely and confidently.
Topics Covered:
Goals/Objective
* List and describe the families of organic compounds and their general therapeutic properties
* Explain why a specific essential oil was chosen based upon its chemistry
* Identify key elements in determining the quality of an essential oil
* Understand and discuss methods of production and the various end products these methods produce
* List and describe various methods of application techniques and delivery systems
* Demonstrate basic knowledge of the chemistry of essential oils
* Design aromatic blends for a range of common household ailments
Certification Paper:
You will have three months after the class to write a paper (minimum of 6 pages plus a bibliography) on an essence of your choosing…one that you connect deeply with. Your paper should include information about where the essence is produced, something about the plant or tree from which it comes, any historical information about the essence and its use (spiritual, emotional and/or physical) that is noteworthy, and, most important, your experience with it. How have you used it (case study)…have you shared it with friends or family?? What did each person experience? Your pages can include artwork, photos, poetry -anything that inspires you. A Certificate of Achievement will be issued to all who attend both days of a workshop and pass a written exam at the end of day two.

- Overview of the lymphatic, respiratory , endocrine & nervous systems and how oils interact with them to assist in healing
- Understanding the actions and contraindications of an essential oil based on its chemical constituents
- Combine aromatherapy with herbalism to treat acute and chronic disorders & choose appropriate oils
- Identifying & choosing 3 to 5 specific essential oils to include in a blend based on the individual actions & contraindications of the oils, besides determining the relative proportions of each essential oil included in the blend
- Profiles of 10 additional oils
- Review & discussion of chemistry with deeper emphasis on chemotypes
- Energetics & Aromatherapy
- A Mystery School perspective on Aromatherapy
- Integration of aromatherapy into a holistic healing practice of massage, energy healing, nursing or other allied health profession
- Basic pathology including bacteria, fungi, virus and animal parasites; listing potential essential oils which have been shown to be effective for various pathology
- Preparing a basic care kit of 13 essential oils covering each physical system, emotional and mental balancing as well as spiritual balance
- Preparation of Elderberry Elixir
